Producer and Broadcast Production

About Me

Kathryn Bogema

Hello! I’m a live production enthusiast with a strong foundation in video editing, technical execution, and behind-the-scenes coordination. I’m currently completing degrees in Film & Video and General Business at Grand Valley State University.

From directing Friday Night Highlights at WKTV to working with production teams in Honolulu and on independent film sets, I thrive in collaborative environments where quick thinking and attention to detail are key. I enjoy the challenge of live production and the energy that comes with making things happen in the moment.

Friday Night Highlights

Broadcast Production

I’ve developed a strong passion for broadcast production through my hands-on experience at WKTV News, where I’ve worked on the weekly Friday Night Highlights sports show. From shooting and editing highlights to managing the live taping process, I’ve learned what it takes to produce fast-paced, engaging content under real-time pressure. The teamwork, quick problem-solving, and energy of live production are what keep me inspired and motivated to keep growing in this field.

Shadow

Producing

I enjoy the creative and logistical challenge of producing—bringing together the right people, planning every detail, and keeping projects on track from concept to final cut. Whether coordinating shoot schedules, managing budgets, or supporting a vision on set, I love being in the center of the process, making sure everything runs smoothly. Producing has given me a deeper appreciation for how every part of a project comes together to tell a cohesive, impactful story.
